Michael Campbell's Messages

Michael is of Maori descent, from the iwi (tribes) Ngati Ruanui on his father's side and Nga Rauru on his mother's.

'Kia Kaha' is an expression in the Maori language te reo Maori meaning 'stay strong', used as encouragement when the going gets tough.Within Cambo's whanau (family) it has special meaning. Here is a song written by Cambo's grandmother, that uses this expression to encourage all her grandchildren to follow their dreams.

This logo brings together taha Maori (things Maori) and the sport of golf in a simple yet descriptive way.

The logo integrates the koru form (Maori symbol of new life, expressive of values, hopes, fears and dreams) with the motion of a golf swing and ball. These elements, combined with the name Cambo are a visual emblem of Michael's past and future in the realm of sport.
